The mission of Community Bible Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.
Pastor Tom Ham
Senior Pastor
Tom came to First Baptist Carl as pastor in August of 2007. He was born in Tampa, FL and moved to Georgia when he was 6. Saved at age 11, several years later he surrendered to God’s call upon his heart to the ministry in 1987. He accepted a ministry position at First Baptist Woodstock that same year and since that time has spent 20+ years in ministry.
Tom has a Bachelor of Science from Kennesaw State University and has furthered his ministry education through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and others.
Tom married Kim n the fall of 1989 and they have four children: daughter Gracie who married Adam Atkinson in 2019, son Grant and his wife Hannah married in 2021, daughter Lindsey and son Brody.
They make their home in Winder and have a great love for their church and community.
